To prepare:
Identify and arrange to interview a leader within an early childhood program. This person may be a childcare center director, school administrator, faith-based children’s director, director of children’s programs at a local museum or library, etc. Your interview may be conducted face-to-face or electronically. Prior to the interview, be sure to let the interviewee know that you are interested in learning about a recent ethical dilemma within their early childhood program and how the leader responded to the challenge. Remind the director that the information you are gathering is for a course assignment, and that all information provided will be completely confidential.
Conduct the interview, using the Ethics Interview Guide in the Learning Resources.
